This site reflects my longstanding interest in writing, photography, history and music. I created Marcal Studios LLP to work on projects involving all kinds of media with my photography, writing, music or other works.

Writing on topics of historical interest, and photojournalism, are passions that had long been outside the core of my career as a senior attorney in several national law firms and an in-house counsel to financial services companies.

Over time I will be writing here on various topics that include history and law, as well as the financial services industries.

I discuss how my interest in live music developed, and how some of my related photography evolved, in the “About” page of my Concert Blog Archive. Most of the other photographic selections and topics included in my Galleries here will be self-explanatory. On the music side I posted examples of keyboard playing and music production, and perhaps will add materials on some of the music theory I’ve learned.
